Poll: American making major changes because of outbreak

WASHINGTON — A new survey says a vast majority of Americans have made major lifestyle changes amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new Washington Post/ABC News poll found that nearly nine in 10 Americans say they're staying home as much as possible.

Seven in 10 Americans say they're worried they or someone they know will catch the disease. Another seven in 10 say the virus and the pandemic are causing them stress. A third of those respondents said the virus is causing them "major stress."

Six in 10 Americans say they've stockpiled food and household supplies.
