As of Dec. 14, the number of total coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 1,022 and the number of deaths had increased by 27, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
Of these cases, 964 are confirmed cases and 58 are probable cases.
The total coronavirus case count in the state on Saturday was 269,643. The current total death count is 6,845.
The collection dates for most of these cases (99.4%) fall between December 6 and December 13, 2020. 95 percent of the cases reported to the state Monday were community spread and 5 percent of the cases reported to the state today were in congregate settings.
Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 and between the ages of 30 and 39 account for 32 percent of these cases, according to LDH.
LDH reports that 217,930 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays. The last update was on 12/7/20).
Since Sunday, 10,459 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 3,937,800. Of the tests reported today, 10,130 were PCR tests and 329 were antigen tests.
As of Sunday, 1,527 patients were hospitalized across the state (down 6 from Sunday), 147 of those patients were on ventilators (down 15 from Sunday).

As of Dec. 13, the number of total coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 4,462 and the number of deaths had increased by 51, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
REMINDER: The state does not report numbers on Saturday, which means these differences represent two days, not one.
The total coronavirus case count in the state on Saturday was 268,613. The current total death count is 6,818.
The collection dates for most of these cases (88.4%) fall between December 5 and December 12, 2020. 93% of the cases reported to the state Sunday were community spread. 7% of the cases reported to the state Sunday were in congregate settings.
Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 and between the ages of 30 and 39 account for 34 percent of these cases, according to LDH.

Since Friday, 59,542 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 3,927,341. Of the tests reported Sunday, 54,182 were PCR tests and 5,360 were antigen tests.
As of Sunday, 1,533 patients were hospitalized across the state (down 56 from Friday), 162 of those patients were on ventilators (down 5 from Friday).
Since Friday, 977 more Acadiana residents have tested positive, and 16 more have died.
Last Sunday, those numbers were 755 and 10.
