COVID-19: State update - 163,928 cases and 5,262 deaths

As of September 25, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 698 and the number of deaths had increased by 21, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 163,928 and the number of deaths is 5,262 as of Friday.

LDH says that the collection dates for most of these cases fall between September 17 and September 24, 2020. 91 percent of the cases reported to the state on Friday were community spread. People aged 29 and under represent 40 percent of these cases. 28 percent are individuals between 18-29.

LDH reports that 149,640 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays; last update 09/21/20).

Since Thursday, 18,531 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,254,841.

According to LDH, 570 people are currently hospitalized (down 5 from Thursday), and 86 of those are on ventilators (down 6 from Thursday).

As of September 24, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 581 and the number of deaths had increased by 16, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 163,222 and the number of deaths is 5,241 as of Thursday.

LDH reports that 149,640 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays; last update 09/21/20).

Since Wednesday, 17,525 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,236,310.

According to LDH, 575 people are currently hospitalized (down 17 from Wednesday), and 92 of those are on ventilators (down 2 from Wednesday).
