COVID-19: State update - 127,246 coronavirus cases, 4,028 deaths

As of August 6, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 1,303 and the number of deaths had increased by 50, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 127,246 and 4,028 deaths as of Thursday.

LDH says that the collection dates for most of Thursday's cases fall between July 30, 2020 and August 6, 2020.

94 percent of the cases reported to the state Thursday were community spread and 31 percent of the cases reported are of individuals aged 29 and under.

LDH is reporting that 89,083 coronavirus patients are "presumed recovered" (updated weekly, last updated 8/03/20).

The LDH reports that 1,457 people are hospitalized (down 14 from Wednesday). Of those, 215 required ventilators (down 8 from Wednesday).

As of August 5, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 1,482 and the number of deaths had increased by 41, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 125,943 and 3,978 deaths as of Wednesday.

LDH is reporting that 89,083 coronavirus patients are "presumed recovered" (updated weekly, last updated 8/03/20).

The LDH reports that 1,471 people are hospitalized (down 16 from Tuesday). Of those, 223 required ventilators (down 17 from Tuesday).
