Acadiana is firmly situated between two different fronts, the one from earlier this week and the one we're getting on Friday afternoon.

This means that temperatures will push up around 90 in the afternoon, with the heat index running a tad warmer.

Winds coming in from the south will produce enough moisture in the area to keep lows in the 70s and prime the atmosphere for a few showers Friday.

The next turn around in the weather will arrive on Friday afternoon with the next front moving through the area and dropping temperatures for the weekend.

Temperatures will remain warm for the majority of the day on Friday as the front won't arrive until the afternoon, but once the showers come to an end there will be a noticeable difference in temperatures.

Lows on Saturday are still looking like they will drop into the upper 50s, and highs on Saturday likely won't make it out of the 70s.

This change in temperature is arriving just in time for Festivals Acadien which is shaping up to be a good one.
