A cold front that moved through on Sunday has pushed in a round of colder air into Acadiana and temperatures on Monday will struggle to get in the low 60s even with the sunshine.

Monday's forecast will be very quiet with clear skies and light breeze coming in from the north around 10 mph, which won't help out much with our temperatures.

A cold night means a cold start to your New Year's Eve and clouds will slowly trickle in through the day, leading to overcast skies by the time the sunsets on 2019.

A solid layer of clouds means that as fireworks go off that smoke will get trapped close to the ground which could lead to some visibility issues for those who will be out late.

Next round of rainfall will be on Thursday with a front pushing across the region and sparking a days worth of showers.
