LAFAYETTE — A Lafayette church is offering a warm place to stay while freezing temperatures blankets Acadiana.
Freedom World Church is opening its doors today and tomorrow for whomever needs shelter during the cold weather. Pastor Lawrence Levy says he will shelter as many people as he can and is also asking for donations such as food, blankets, coats, and other necessities.
All donations can be dropped off at Freedom World Church located at 212 Delord Street.
Pastor Levy also stated that as the shelter numbers at the small church increase, the electric bill will also increase. He asks that any monetary donations be made so the church's lights do not get turned off. Donations can be made at this link: https://www.paypal.me/lawrencethe3rd.
