Breaux Bridge man finds new use for damaged property following Hurricane Delta

One month after Hurricane Delta swept through Acadiana, many are dealing with the aftermath of storm damage. For one Breaux Bridge man, he's finding a creative way to repurpose items lost.

"Why waste the boards? Take something that happened that's not very good and turn it into something positive."

The morning after Hurricane Delta hit, Clint Robin noticed his fence was torn apart. Instead of scrapping the damaged planks, he decided to reuse them in a different way.

"I decided to turn something good out of this. I said I'm going to cut the boards, paint them, put some different sayings on it and sell them to kind of compensate for the expense of the fence,” explained Robin.

Since creating these custom planks, Robin says dozens have already requested personal designs. With more inquiries coming in, Robin's supply is ready for business.

"I've got plenty right now I've got enough to go around for a while,” Robin added.

While recovery efforts continue for much of Southwest Louisiana, Robin is re-purposing what was broken by Delta into something new.
