Abbeville native Koryn Hawthorne has been nominated for three Billboard awards.
Her nominations are in the Top Gospel Artist, Top Gospel Song and Top Gospel Album categories. The announcement was made on April 9.

Hawthorne was also nominated for a Grammy earlier in 2019 for her song “Won’t He Do It.” Her debut album “Unstoppable” was released in 2018.
She was a finalist on season 8 of the Voice, placing 4th overall on the show in 2015.

Lafayette native Lauren Daigle also picked up several nominations and is expected to perform during the show.
The Billboard Music Awards will take place tonight, May 1 on NBC.
