The Vermilion Parish Schools superintendent’s job is safe, at least for now.
There were items on tonight’s agenda that would have allowed the board to hire an attorney to investigate Superintendent Jerome Puyau.
The meeting lasted two and a half hours today, but the board was able to make decisions and work through the issues on the agenda.
Listed on the agenda tonight was to hire an attorney to investigate issues concerning the superintendent.
Puyau’s attorney advised the board that the agenda item didn’t have enough information.The item was then dismissed.
Four board members have individually filed lawsuits against the superintendent, concerning him being back at work. They asked if the board would join in on the lawsuit, and the board denied that motion as well.
The board members who are against the superintendent being in office say they just want answers.
