Firefighters are investigating the cause of a house fire in Delcambre yesterday.
Asst. Police Chief Ted Kahn says a dog was killed in the fire on S Railroad Street, and the man living there was not home at the time.
No one else was injured.
Kahn says the home near the intersection of Wilfred Landry Street was completely engulfed when he arrived on scene close to 3 p.m.
An adjacent home sustained moderate to major damage as a result of the fire.
