Students at North Vermilion Middle School gave back to their local community. Monday, the Maurice Fire Department were surprised with gifts from students who are making it their mission to be kind.
The students started a project for the year to spread positivity in Vermilion parish. Monday the students got a tour and a learning session at the fire station in Maurice. There, the students gave out gifts to the firefighters.
All gifts were made by the students or bought using money that they raise on their own, according to the students’ instructor.
The Maurice Fire Department gave the students a tour of the station while also teaching them about the work they do and the people who fill the job of a firefighter.
