A Morgan City woman has been arrested, accused of taking valuables and using a credit card belonging to an elderly victim.
Police say they arrested 31-year-old Destiny Ann Dinger of Morgan City last week in connection to the theft and credit card use. She was booked with Theft between $5,000.00 and $25,000, Access Device Fraud, Unauthorized Use of a Movable, and Cruelty to the Infirm.
On April 23, 2019, Detectives began an investigation into a complaint of abuse to an elderly victim. During the investigation, Detectives learned monies and valuables were taken from the victim along with authorized use of their credit card.
Detectives say they also learned the Dinger had used a vehicle belonging to the victim on several occasions without permission.
Police say the amount taken from the elderly victim totals $8,388.
Dinger was booked into the Morgan City Jail.
