A Morgan City man was arrested on Tuesday following an investigation into a complaint of inappropriate sexual contact with a child under 13.

Police received the complaint against Wayne J. Billiot on Monday and began investigating.
Following the investigation, warrants were obtained for Billiot’s arrest. In an attempt to locate Billiot, police learned that he had left the Morgan City area.
Billiot was eventually located in Harvey, Louisiana and was taken into custody with the help of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshal Task Force.
On Tuesday, Billiot was transported to the Morgan City Police Department and booked into the Morgan City Jail on a charge of Aggravated Crimes Against Nature. No bond was set.
