One person has been arrested and another is wanted for allegedly taking money from an elderly victim.
Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office say that on April 9, 2019, they received a complaint regarding the alleged fraud of an elderly woman.
Warrants were obtained for the two people police say were involved in the theft, 46-year-old Shane Latiolais and 51-year-old Dana Debo both of Breaux Bridge, for Monetary Instrument Abuse.
Latiolais and Debo allegedly used the victim’s credit card to purchase several items totaling approximately $1500 worth of merchandise over a three month period. On Wednesday, Shane Latiolais was arrested and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
Dana Debo is still wanted. She was last known to be residing in the Henderson area of St. Martin Parish.
