St. Martinville City council members say they will pick up the pace of the audit of the city’s finances.
The city has hired a new CFO, Avis Gutekunst. She will take over that position in June.
At a meeting on Wednesday, the council discussed appointing three city employees will also help divide duties with the auditing firm to make the process run faster.
Councilman Mike Fusilier says that the report delivered from the auditing firm is what they expected.
The council will have another regular meeting on Monday, May 20, 2019.
