One Cub Scout in St. Martin Parish is making a name for herself.
Emalee Patin is the first girl in her troop, and her mom, Jen Patin, is the den leader.
The two say they’re having a great time despite being the only two females in the den.
Emalee was also the top seller for popcorn in her den this year.
“I want to be in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts as long as I can because I like the outside adventures that we do and discovering animals and observing them. It’s really cool to me,” said Emalee.
