Jambalaya connoisseurs are competing for best dish at the Annual Jambalaya Cook-off in Breaux Bridge.
Participants started cooking at 8 a.m., and now, the judges are tasting the jambalaya.
Winners will be announced at 3 p.m. in each category: traditional, seafood, unique, wild game, overall champion and people’s choice.
There’s still some time to make it out to the event at Parc des Ponts. Admission, which allows you to sample all the jambalaya, is $10.
The cook-off also offers live music and face painting, making it fun for the whole family.
The event started in 2010 as a fundraiser for the Breaux Bridge Area Chamber of Commerce.
