The City of Eunice saw some heavy flooding and some damage following the severe storms that passed through the area Friday.
Earlier this evening, the Eunice Police Department put out a notice on Facebook that asked drivers to stay off of the roads in the city as many were flooded.
Viewers sent in photos and videos of Laurel Avenue showing the road completely covered with water. Cars and people wading through that water.
Police Chief Randy Fontenot tells KATC that there were reports of high water and some flooded out cars. A tree was even reported to have fallen on a vehicle.
Some calls in to KATC mentioned strong winds in the area and some damage associated with that. No damage from the wind was confirmed by police.
