A portion of Port Barre is under a boil advisory after repairs were made to a gas line north of Bayou Courtableau.
The advisory affects all customers north of the bayou. That includes Saizan Avenue, O.G. Track Road, E Courtableau Drive, W Courtableau Drive, and all intersecting streets.
The advisory will be in effect until further notice.
Consumers must boil their water for one full minute before consumption, which includes cooking.
