On Saturday night, a hit and run crash killed 16-year-old Princess Washington.

On Wednesday, her mother, Summer Washington, sat down and talked with KATC about her 16 years with her daughter.

“It’s unreal. It just feels like she is not here right now, but she’s coming back. I just wait for her thinking she’s going to come back, you know,” Summer Washington said.

Days after the crash that killed her daughter, she says she’s at peace. She has faith that her daughter Princess is in heaven.

“She was very energetic, happy, sassy. She lived up to her name,” Washington said.

Washington even has forgiveness for the driver, police say fled the scene.

“Let it be known, I don’t hate her. I just want to know answers. How as a mother do you just hit someone and just leave them?” Washington asked

Washington’s son was driving the car when the crash occurred. He has since been released from the hospital.

“They gave us time with her and he just kept telling her he was sorry and he loved her. I just tell him that it’s not his fault,” Washington said.

Princess will be created and her family will keep her urn.

The woman accused of causing that fatal crash is wanted again after her bond was revoked in an earlier arrest.

31-year-old Floydiece Washington of Melville initially was arrested in Calcasieu Parish and booked into jail on a charge of felony hit-and-run driving. She posted bond and was released.

She is now wanted again in relation to that revoked bond. Read more here
