34th Annual World Championship Crawfish Etouffee cook-off is this weekend

The 34th Annual World Championship Crawfish Etouffee Cook-off takes place this weekend in Eunice.

The festivities begin on Saturday, March 30th from 8:00pm until 12:00am with a Pre-Cook-off Kick-off Dance at the Barn at Lakeview Park & Beach, located at 1717 Veterans Memorial Highway in Eunice. The dance will feature Geno Delafasse and French Rocking Boogie.

Cook-off weekend continues with the main event on Sunday March 31st from 10am-4pm and taking place at the Pavilion at 651 Samuel Drive in Eunice. Help us as we celebrate 34 years of promoting Eunice and our unique Cajun Culture. There will be music, food, arts & crafts, and activities for children.

The headline bands include:
• Jamie Bergeron and Kickin Cajuns
• Troy Lejeune & Cajun Revue
• Jason Frey & Lagniappe

Admission and parking are free.

Each year, cook-off contestants vie to win the title of World Champion Crawfish Étouffée Chef! Celebrity and professional judges will proclaim winners in three different categories: Amateur, Professional, and Club/Organizations. Teams also vie for the best decorated booth and the festival goers select a favorite. All winners will be announced from the music stage at approximately 3:30 pm.
