The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office says that a work-release inmate who escaped on Sunday is now in custody.
Ronald McGee was captured on Wednesday morning. The sheriff’s department says that more details on the arrest will be released at a later time.
McGee escaped on Sunday night after fleeing from the St. Landry Parish jail. He was spotted in a gully by deputies before they lost sight of him. Deputies say McGee was in jail on theft and burglary charges.
