On Tuesday, a St. Landry Parish grand jury indicted 22-year-old Jaylin Lamb of Opelousas on charges of second-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 18-year-old Joseph Aggison.
Aggison and two others were injured in the shooting that occurred on Kim Drive in Opelousas on October 20, 2018. According to police, Aggison was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries.
Lamb was arrested by police following the shooting and was booked on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm. The charge of second-degree murder was added following Aggison’s death.
Lamb was formally charged on Tuesday, January 29.
