The sounds of Christmas carols were heard throughout Port Barre, thanks to the police department.
Officers, along with members of First Baptist Church, rode on makeshift floats, donning Christmas-themed attire.
Along the route, they stopped at four churches in the town where they read excerpts from the Bible.
While this is the first community-wide caroling event, organizers say they hope it’s around for years to come.
