The Refinery Mission hosted a luncheon Friday to thank those who have helped keep the organization focused on its mission to helping the public.
Food was served as the The Refinery formerly Opelousas Lighthouse Mission for Men discussed their mission, thanking donors and reflecting on the past year. The group also discussed their plans for the future.
The organization is a faith-based group established to help men in a time of transition, dealing with issues such as jails, prison, rehabs, hospitals, behavioral clinics, state programs and even the streets.
The program includes emergency housing, transitional housing, work readiness, spiritual growth, prison reentry, health and wellness, and leadership.
