GRAND COTEAU – The administration and clergy at the Academy of the Sacred Heart unveiled the school’s refurbished gallery during a ribbon-cutting dedication today.
After months of planning and preparation, as it was important to preserve the structure’s history, the one-million-dollar refurbishment came to fruition.
The gallery overlooks the school’s garden and Oak Valley, a path of trees planted by Jesuit priests to shade their travel to and from the Academy’s campus for Mass.
Msgr. DeRouen was present at the celebration to bless the new gallery.
Academy of the Sacred Heart is a Catholic school for girls, grades PreK3-12.
