New Beginnings in Opelousas opened its Hero Program, focused on helping veterans and families.
Thursday, New Beginnings held an open house of their treatment facility on Linwood Loop in Opelousas.
The Hero Program helps our military’s active members and veterans of all years and theatre’s of conflict, who are “experiencing concerns with emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and chemical dependency issues.”
The facility officially opened in September 2018. Administrators say that it is a great way to give back to a community of veterans who gave so much for freedom.
“This is a great opportunity for us because, you know, the ability to give back, give a sense of purpose to what these guys are suffering from and hopefully a new direction and a new lease on life is the opportunity that we’re wanting to provide,” said CEO of New Beginnings Chase Glenn.
