Despite the weather in Opelousas on Wednesday the Acadian Veterans Honor Guard was still able to host its Flag Ceremony.

The ceremony was held at the St. Landry Parish Veterans Memorial in Opelousas. Members of the Acadiana Veterans Honor Guard performed a Flag tribute to the United States  Armed Forces

Chairman of the St. Landry Parish Veterans Memorial, Pat Mason-Guillory says each Branch of Service was recognized as the song for each branch was played. The ceremony also included a special tribute by  Ronald Crowley, Commander for the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

The Honor Guard presented the Memorial Committee with a flag.
