EUNICE – St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s deputies are making sure senior citizens know how to stay protected.
The department held its quarterly triad workshop at the VFW hall in Eunice.
Everyone was treated to a meal and games.
Guest speakers from different agencies also stopped by to talk about health, finances and scams.
“If they’re receiving calls with different types of scams, contact the sheriff’s office or local law enforcement agency. We have people that are dedicated to assisting them and trying to get those issues resolved,” said Chief Deputy Hilman Popillion.
