The Opelousas Police Department says one person was injured in a shooting in the 1600 block of Frilot Street on Thursday night.
A spokesperson with the department says that one person suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was transported to the hospital as a result of the incident.
No suspect was identified at the time of the shooting.
An investigation is ongoing.
