Southwest Louisiana Primary Health Care Center is honoring their oldest patient who has also been with them the longest.
The family of 99-year-old Mathilda Comeaux was invited to the tribute today in Opelousas, which doubled as a way to close out National Health Care Center Week.
During the celebration, Mathilda was presented with a plaque and a brand new chair.
“It’s a blessing to still have my mother here with us at 99-years-old, and we can’t thank God enough for her because, truly, it is a blessing,” said Ethel Alexander, Comeaux’s daughter. “We know that many mothers are gone, but we still have ours.”
