Seventh graders from across St. Landry Parish took part in the 17th annual Youth Blast at the Yambilee Building.
The Back to School Summit is designed to teach teens the importance of making healthy life choices and to help those kids open a dialogue with adults on how to make those good choices.
“The community is very embracing of us,” said Lorenzo Richard, CASA of Evangeline/ St. Landry. “And as much as we can, we continue to empower the youth.”
