One still at large after four inmates escape from Marksville prison

MARKSVILLE, La. — Three out of the four male inmates who escaped from Detention Center 1 in Marksville on Monday have been taken into custody, but authorities are still searching for the remaining inmate.

According to the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office, Brandon Johnson, 34, from Plaucheville, who was being held on a simple burglary charge has been caught and taken back into custody.

The APSO state that only one inmate remains at large: Travis Green, 18, of Bunkie, being held on charges of attempted second degree murder, assault by drive-by shooting and sagging pants.

APSO say that the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force have been called in to help apprehend Greene.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of these individuals is asked to contact the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office at (318) 253-4081.

Chace Middlebrooks, 36, from Evergreen has already been found and taken back into custody, the sheriff's office says.

The sheriff's office says he was booked with possession of stolen things, resisting arrest or officer (multiple counts), possession of firearm by felon, aggravated assault, reckless operation, illegal carrying of weapon (multiple counts), possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice, simple criminal damage to property, battery on a police officer (multiple counts), criminal trespass, and numerous traffic offenses.

Also captured is Hunter Bordelon, 21, of Marksville, being held on a simple burglary charge.
