Lafayette Police cut the ribbon on their new Firearm Training Facility today.
The facility is located on Michael Ann Drive in Breaux Bridge. The police department hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and a tour of the building this afternoon.
Having a range is going to make training much easier for our officers, a spokesman said.
“We no longer have to borrow a facility,” said range master Paul Trouard. “In the past we’ve had to beg, borrow, or steal a facility. We might have had trainings schedule and they got cancelled because the agency that had the facility had something going on, so now our guys can train 24-7.”
