Lafayette’s Acadiana School of the Arts is now School of Rock.
It’s the first School of Rock location in Acadiana.
Staff at the former Acadiana School of the Arts are celebrating the grand opening with a party.
Along with a ceremonial guitar smashing (School of Rock’s version of a ribbon-cutting), it will be an evening filled with live music featuring performances by School of Rock Lafayette and School of Rock Baton Rouge students, school tours, lesson demos, and $1,000 in door prizes.
The event is going on until 6 p.m. at School of Rock Lafayette, located at 116 Rena Drive.
