Juneteenth holiday celebrations were held in Lafayette this Saturday.
The community was invited to come out to 1700 E Pinhook Road for free activities and fun. The celebrations included drum making, face painting, choirs, and basketball.
Juneteenth is celebrated to commemorate the ending of slavery in the United States. The event in Lafayette is hosted by the SWLA Juneteenth Committee
