Agencies across Lafayette are coming up with an emergency plan in case a chemical spill happens.
During a tabletop exercise, organizations laid out their plans for evacuation and discussed how they can work together during a time of need.
Representatives from Louisiana State Police HazMat, Lafayette Parish Sheriff Office, Lafayette Police Department, ULL Police, Acadian Ambulance, LUS, DHH, DEQ, LCG Public Works and Risk Management, and Lafayette Parish School System were in attendance.
The exercise simulated a chemical spill emergency in the community.
