A scooter and auto dealer will be moving into the former Cal’s Western Store building on Johnston Street.
According to the Advocate, Voodoo 5 Auto & Scooter Sales will be moving in to the location. The business will sell new and used scooters, with new models starting out at $998, and will carry Wolf, Lance, Kymco and Vespa models with an emphasis on the college-aged.
It will also offer economy cars.
Cal’s Western Store closed in 2017 but was used briefly during the holidays as Santa’s Workshop where customers found help wrapping and assembling Christmas gifts.
The iconic horse on Cal’s sign was taken down in 2018 and restored. It has found a new home at Moncus Park.
