The Academy of Visual and Applied arts held its 6th annual exhibition of student artwork this year.

Today was the final day of the exhibition.

The work produced by freshmen through senior art students was on display at the Lafayette Art Association and Gallery.

The exhibition is the culmination of hard work and learning to develop their artistic styles. It is designed to show students how to display their work and discuss with viewers.

Bryan LaFaye, Director of The Academy Visual and Applied Arts says that many of the students that showcase go on to study art in university and grad programs.

Students in the Academy say that the show has helped them have more appreciation or the work that they create.

The showcase was held from April 25 through May 2, 2019.
