A 68-year-old man is on his way to Orlando via bicycle to raise awareness of a rare disorder.
Jo Le Bouter of France is a cyclo-hiker and is raising awareness of an autosomal-recessive genetic disorder. Bouter is traveling from San Jose, Costa Rica and is headed to Orlando, Florida.
Bouter’s nephew was diagnosed with the autosomal disorder called Wolfram syndrome. Wolfram syndrome affects the central nervous system.
Wednesday, Jo Le Bouter is in Scott for a rest stop before he continues on his journey. The Scott Fire Department is assisting Bouter, giving him a place to rest.
