Lafayette Police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting on N University Avenue last week.
Police say that on April 18, 2019, at approximately 10:30 pm, a suspect was involved in a verbal altercation with two victims at a local store on N. University Avenue. Following the altercation, the unknown suspect noticed the victims in the parking lot of a local business in the 1600 block of N. University Avenue.
That suspect, according to police, approached the victims and began firing a weapon at them striking them both.
He then fled the area in a black four-door sedan. The suspect is described by police as a tall, heavy set, light skin black male with green eyes.
