Lafayette Parish students were showing off their works of art in downtown Lafayette at the 10th Annual Student Arts Expo on Saturday.
The expo showcases the students’ work that they’ve done throughout the school year.
The annual event, which is put on by the Acadiana Center for the Arts and multiple businesses downtown, helps raise awareness and support for the art community in Lafayette.
“The arts do so much for learning in a lot of different ways,” explained Bree Sargent, education director at AcA. “It brings all the collaborative nature out, communication skills, all those kinds of things. So, it’s a really great way to manifest all the things that kids are doing in the schools.”
