Today, Friday, March 29, is the last day of operation for the Evangeline Thruway Walmart.
The closure of the story was announced earlier this month. The pharmacy closed two weeks ago.

The line is wrapped around the building for the closeout sale at Walmart on the Evangeline Thruway.
Today, the store started its fifty-percent off sale after the company announced they were closing the location.
KATC is being told that shoppers were lined up outside starting at 7:00 am on Friday waiting for the store to open. Due to the large crowd, security is limiting the number of shoppers allowed in the store at a certain time.
Walmart announced in February that the Evangeline Thruway location would close on March 29. The store’s pharmacy will close today.
More than 300 people are employed at the Thruway location.
