LAFAYETTE- Great smells are coming from Blackham Coliseum. That’s because of the Cajun Chili Fest.
Participants are competing for the best local and state chili, and those in attendance are reaping the benefits.
For $5, you’re granted entry and all the chili you can eat.
There’s also live music from the Alligator Blue Band, raffles, vendor booths, and an area designated for kids.
The event is going on until 3 p.m.
All proceeds from the Cajun Chili Fest benefit Family Promise of Acadiana, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping homeless families.
