Students at Truman Early Childhood Education Center hosted their families at a Sweetheart dance today.
The four-year-olds invited family members to attend, and everyone dressed up to enjoy the event. The theme was love for family, friends and community.
The dance was held in two sessions today, and four more sessions are planned for Thursday and Friday.
“To understand what a dance is, what Valentine’s Day is and why we celebrate it,” explains Laura Landry, a teacher at the school. “And just have that fun time with their teachers and their classmates. It’s just a time for us to step back and not do any work. We’re just having a really good time and celebrating the holiday together.”
