You can head over to Parc International in downtown Lafayette for the Lunar New Year Celebration.
In collaboration with the Lafayette Chinese Immersion Program, Lafayette Chinese American Association and several UL Asian student organizations, the Asian Chamber of Commerce of Acadiana is hosting the celebration for the second time this year.
The Lunar New Year celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. 2019 is the Year of the Pig.
Attendees can learn about Asian cultures through food, fashion, music, karate demonstrations.
The event is free to the public and is going on until 4:30 p.m.
Parc International is located at 200 Garfield Street.
