C-SPAN’s Southern tour made a stop in Lafayette at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s campus.
The television network’s high-tech classroom was be parked at Edith Garland Dupré Library on Wednesday. This is only one stop on an eight-week tour of southern and western states.
Northside High School in Lafayette also received a visit from the traveling classroom.
According to C-SPAN, the tour wants to hear from people about what being an American means to them. The interviews given during the tour may be featured in the network’s “Voices from the Road” project.
The bus has visited cities, schools, and universities in Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi. It will head to Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona after leaving Louisiana.
