Duson officials continue ‘moving forward’ following swearing-in ceremony

Officials in Duson have been sworn in following a ceremony Tuesday evening.

The ceremony happened just before the first council meeting of the new term.

Duson Mayor Johnny Thibodeaux who ran unopposed was sworn in along with new alderman Carroll Pepper, Carolyn “Pepe” Richard, “Steve” Hanks, Coby Duhon, and Wade Robin.

Police Chief Kip Judice was also sworn in tonight, continuing on his duties as head of the police department.

They were welcomed to their new positions as each took the oath of office.

“This is a great day for the Town of Duson and we’re so excited.  This is not new for the Town of Duson, we’re just continuing something that has been going on for years but this is a special day in keeping the town moving forward and keeping the town going in the right direction,” said Mayor Johnny Thibodeaux.
