The Scott Fire Department is thanking the volunteers who help make the work of the department possible.
Chief Chad Sonnier says he’s proud of the work of his volunteers and that they go above and beyond when finding ways to serve the community.
“We are one of the only volunteer departments in Lafayette Parish. The majority of our members are volunteers, and these guys do a great job, not only combating fire and keeping people safe, but doing above and beyond in the our community, whether it be helping mentor a young kid or installing smoke detectors for the elderly. We do pretty much everything,” said Sonnier.
